Luke 2:8-20

It’s Christmas and we can celebrate!!

Christmas marks Jesus’ birth, the first tangible beginning of God’s rescue plan for humanity.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people…”
Luke 2:10

Globally, 1 in 110 people have been forced to seek their future elsewhere abroad.

Does our faith give us anything to say to them?

Of course it does!

We are able to offer real hope to those who have lost everything. The world might shrug cynically and say that there will always be poor people, or that there will always be suffering, destruction and the grief of losing loved ones – but we know that these things are only temporary.

Through Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection, we can show them that God cares, even when the media and TV cameras don’t.

Today, SHARE two things;

  • Pray that God will grant you an opportunity to share the gospel with someone this week. Gently and with respect, share how trusting God has changed your life and given you an eternal hope which goes beyond death in this world.
  • Share the need with your church and Christian friends. Remind them of the continuing refugee crisis, and gently point out the refugees and migrants in your own town and communities -gospel work starts at home, not just abroad in far-flung places.

What else can I do?

  • Stop and learn about the crisis!

    Take a stand.
    Learn more about the crisis.

  • Pray with us for refugees!

    Raise your voice.
    Pray for migrants and refugees.

  • Go

    Take your voice.
    Serve locally or abroad.
