Isaiah 9: 6-7
Jesus is coming!
The Bible passage today from Isaiah is a prophecy; it speaks of the future when the Messiah – Jesus Christ – would be born.
And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.
Our world is war-torn; it is bloody, violent and desperately needs rescuing.
68.5 million people are refugees.
56% of them are children under 18.
1 in 110 people have been forced to seek their future elsewhere in foreign nations; over 225 million people in the world are migrants – seeking financial security, or just somewhere to live without the fear of persecution or war.
Today, SHARE two things;
- Share the reality of the refugee crisis and the statistics on migration.

- Share the Good News of Jesus with someone around you!
If they are a Christian, remind them that Jesus was born and sacrificed for them – to bring them into God’s family. If they are not, ask them why they think we celebrate Christmas, and whether they can imagine a world without war – without suffering.
Praise God that he gave himself as the ultimate gift sacrifice
Thank God that Jesus is eternally wise, caring, a peace-bringer and yet mighty in power
Pray to God that he would protect the vulnerable as they undertake dangerous journeys, bring reconciliation and peace to war-torn countries and extend his kingdom through these forced displacements.
